In Loving Memory of Somsamay Keungkhamphong
It is with both profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Somsamay Keungkhamphong on July 23, 2026. Born in Laos on November 10, 1963, Somsamay was a beacon of strength and compassion, touching the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Somsamay was born to her beloved mother, Noi Keungkhamphong, and though she did not know her father, she carried forward a legacy of resilience and warmth that was evident to all. Her early life in Laos was marked by challenges that she met with courage and a steadfast spirit, qualities she carried with her throughout her life.
Her journey was one of both love and loss. Predeceased by her cherished family members, including her brother Lit K., her sisters Brook Ardis and Amy K., and her precious daughters Jennifer Olivas and Alexis Keungkhamphong, Somsamay's heart was vast and capable of holding both the joy and sorrow of these experiences.
Somsamay's enduring legacy is reflected in the lives of her six grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She was a guiding light and a source of unwavering support, always ready with a kind word and an open heart. Her love for her grandchildren was matched only by the pride she took in their accomplishments and the joy she felt in their presence.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Somsamay's life, in accordance with her family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting the spirit of generosity that Somsamay embodied throughout her life.
Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of Somsamay, we find comfort in remembering her remarkable spirit and the indelible mark she left on our lives. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will continue to inspire all those who were privileged to share in her journey.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
