Mae passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of the staff at Helen Keller Hospital, following a courageous battle stemming from a lack of oxygen to the brain. Her departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mae was born on June 6, 1954, in the charming town of Florence, Alabama, to her loving parents, Marrie and Steve Dolan. From an early age, Mae exuded a vibrant spirit and a knack for bringing joy to those around her. Her childhood in Florence was filled with laughter and adventure, setting the stage for a life characterized by warmth, love, and resilience. In 1989, Mae married the love of her life, Thomas Dolan, and together they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to unwavering love and partnership, and together they created a beautiful family. Mae is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas, who stood by her side with unwavering support and love. Mae's legacy lives on through her cherished children, Cajun Tejada and Nate Dolan, who carry forward her values of kindness and generosity. Her heart overflowed with pride and adoration for her seven grandchildren: Laycee Marrie, Kynadra Amora, Gracie Paige, Loc Orlee, Alizaya Kilea, Drake, and Alli. Each grandchild was a source of immense joy and pride, and Mae's love for them was boundless. Mae was blessed with a close-knit family who surrounded her with love. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna, Brandi, and Thomas Jr., who shared countless memories and unwavering support throughout her life. Known for her quick wit and warm smile, Mae had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her jokes and infectious laughter could lighten any mood, and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who crossed her path. Mae's home was a haven of love and acceptance, where friends and family gathered to share stories, laughter, and love. A private ceremony will be held to honor Mae's life, as her family wishes to celebrate her memory in an intimate setting.
