It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Madelyn Servano Rosado on July 23, 2025, at the age of 79. Madelyn, a cherished soul, left this world surrounded by the warmth and comfort of her home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy. Born on June 30, 1946, Madelyn grew up in a vibrant household in Manhattan, New York. Her academic prowess was evident early on, as she graduated with honors, setting the stage for a life marked by dedication and service. In a remarkable testament to her commitment to her country, Madelyn enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 28, 1969. As a member of the USA Medical Corps, she specialized in neuropsychiatric procedures, where her innate empathy and expertise were invaluable. Her service was recognized with the National Defense Service Medal, and she was honorably discharged, having made a meaningful impact on the lives of many. Madelyn's professional journey continued at Citizens Nursing Home, where she worked as a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant. Her career culminated at Blevins Nursing Home, where she retired in 2001, leaving behind a legacy of care and compassion that resonated with her colleagues and the families she served. Madelyn’s life was enriched by her hobbies and interests, which included spending cherished moments with her dear friends and adopted families, the Kohlbus, Scandrol, and Walter's. Her love for the town of Havre de Grace was evident in her frequent walks through its picturesque streets, where she found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Known for her quick wit and generous spirit, Madelyn was a loyal friend whose big heart touched everyone she encountered. She was a beacon of support, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a gentle smile. Her giving nature and profound care for those around her left an indelible mark on her community and the many lives she enriched. Madelyn is predeceased by her beloved parents and two brothers, with whom she is now reunited. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and the love she shared continue to inspire and uplift. As we say goodbye to Madelyn, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts. In honoring Madelyn's life, let us remember her kindness, her laughter, and the unwavering love she bestowed so freely. May her legacy be a guiding light to all who knew her.
