It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Madeline (Pudge) Isabel Clapp (née Doan), who departed this world peacefully on _____, after a short illness. Born on June 16, 1929, in the city of Windsor, Ontario, Madeline was a beacon of love, resilience, and grace throughout her 96 years. Madeline was the cherished daughter of William and Mary Doan, who instilled in her the virtues of kindness and generosity that she carried with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald, in 1970, and her dear sister, Betty, in 2003. Despite these profound losses, Madeline remained ever steadfast—an unwavering pillar of strength for her family and friends. Madeline's legacy lives on in her devoted sons, Aaron, Len and Kevin, who were her pride and joy. Aaron, who lovingly remembers his cherished wife Jill (2018), Len, and his wife Kathleen, and Kevin, alongside his wife J'Neene, all carry forward Madeline's enduring spirit through their lives. Her heart was further enriched by her grandchildren—Jodi (Tom), Dawn, Nicole, Karrie, Jennifer, Chris (Mary), and Neil—each of whom she adored. Her legacy of love extends to her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter. A woman of remarkable talents, Madeline had a particular passion for crocheting. Her hands crafted countless beautiful blankets, slippers, and throws, which she generously donated to senior facilities in need, warming both bodies and hearts. Her creativity and compassion were boundless, and through her selfless acts, she touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on her community. Madeline was a woman full of life, known for her radiant smile and the vivid memories she shared of her extraordinary journey. Her warmth and good humor were infectious, bringing light and comfort to everyone she met. Even in her final days, her spirit remained unyielding, her courage and dignity inspiring those around her. In honor of Madeline's wishes, cremation has taken place with interment being private. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the indelible impact she made on the lives of everyone she encountered. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts. In honoring Madeline's memory, we are reminded of a life well-lived, filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to others. In lieu of flowers, the family, requests donations be made to local senior facilities, continuing Madeline's legacy of giving and caring for others. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to our beloved Madeline, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit continues to guide and inspire us, lighting our paths with the same warmth and love she so generously shared throughout her beautiful life.
