Madeline G Timmons

Madeline G. Timmons, affectionately known as "Madge" to her friends and family, passed away peacefully in her home on August 19, 2026, after a brave and prolonged battle with cancer. Born on March 23, 1947, in London, England, Madeline was the beloved daughter of Anita Allerhand and Albert Schlesinger. Madeline lived a life full of love, grace, and service. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Dennis "Mike" Timmons, with whom she shared 32 devoted years of marriage, her sister Maria Keske, nephew’s Steven and Andrew Keske, and her brother Mickey Schlesinger. She is survived by her loving daughters Denise Timmons, Deana Smith, and Debbie Batchelor, and her cherished bonus daughters Anna Marie Condento, Jeanne Cotton, and Stephanie Rosalez Sandlin. Madeline also leaves behind her son-in-law Daniel Smith and her beloved grandchildren Ashlyn Smith, Darren Timmons, Madyson Timmons, and Aiden Smith. Her nephew, Richard (Jessica) Keske and niece, Vivienne Keske were also dear to her heart as well as their children. An educated woman, Madeline attended Rylan's School for Girls in London. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active and faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Madeline was dedicated to her community, volunteering at Sharing and Caring in Crestview, Florida. She also worked as a teacher's aide at Davidson Middle School and held various positions in hospitality and banking throughout her career. Madeline's life was enriched by her many interests and hobbies. She was a passionate reader and student of the Bible and enjoyed playing games on her iPad. Her family and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she devoted several years to raising her special-needs grandson, Darren. Madeline was known for her culinary skills, especially her famed 15-bean soup, and she cherished her British heritage, retaining her accent and enjoying BBC programs. Her travels with Mike, especially their cruises, were a source of joy, despite her not knowing how to swim. Madeline was celebrated for her quick wit, warm smile, and the ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love and compassion. A service to celebrate Madeline's life will be held on September 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, located at 3252 East James Lee Blvd., Crestview, FL 32539. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Emerald Coast Hospice for their compassionate care during Madeline's final days. In honor of Madeline's memory, the family suggests that donations be made to Sharing and Caring of Crestview. Madeline G. Timmons will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
