In Loving Memory

Mackenzie Burke
July 18, 2026 — July 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mackenzie Burke, who left this world far too soon on July 16, 2026. Born on March 1, 2026, in Somewhere in Cali, Mackenzie was a beacon of light and laughter, known for her quick wit, warm smile, and an unwavering dedication to her work and those she loved.
Mackenzie was a devoted daughter to her cherished mother, Popstar dancing mom, who instilled in her a love for life and a passion for helping others. She was predeceased by her family member, Ascension Saint Thomas Cardiac Stepdown, a place that became a second home to her as she dedicated herself to her career.
As a proud RN with a BSN, Mackenzie was not just a real nurse but a true patient advocate. Her career at Ascension St. Thomas was more than just a job; it was her calling. She worked tirelessly to uplift and care for her patients, always putting their needs above her own. Her compassion and dedication to her community were unmatched, and she served with a spirit that inspired everyone she encountered.
Mackenzie was a valued member of the Bull Shit Nursing Club since 2025, where her vibrant personality and genuine kindness left an indelible mark. Outside of her professional life, she found joy in the simple pleasures—working, changing and burping colostomy bags, sleeping, and eating various types of apples in one night. Her ability to find humor in life's challenges endeared her to many and lightened the hearts of those around her.
Her life, though brief, was filled with purpose and love. Mackenzie had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her kindness and generosity touched countless lives. She was a soul that chose to take on the world's stress and challenges, always striving for betterment, even at a cost to herself. Her passing is a profound loss to all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Mackenzie's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:45 PM at the ASTW-Cardiac Stepdown located at 4220 Harding Drive. Friends, family, and colleagues are invited to come together to honor her memory and the incredible impact she had on the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mackenzie's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and community care.
May Mackenzie finally find the rest she so richly deserves. Her light will forever shine in our hearts, guiding us with the love and laughter she shared so freely.
