Mable Ruth Bray

April 15, 1946 — August 29, 2026

Mable Ruth Elliott Bray of Weatherford, TX was born to Mable Lavella Tally Elliott and William Alexander Elliott in Quinlan Texas. She attended Technical High School in Fort Worth Texas. Her first job was at Worth Book Binding company. Some of the other classes she completed were Computer Applications, Business Management, Medical terminology, Supervision, Animal Biology, Public Speaking, Medical coding and insurance, and Political Science. She continued her education at Weatherford Junior college and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science. She made the Deans list in 95. She was 47 years old and not afraid to change careers. Mable and Don moved to Weatherford in 1979. They had a lake lot on the Brazos River at Pioneer camp Sites. Where they continued to enjoy the things they loved most. Family, friends, water skiing and fishing. They even poured a dance floor so they could dance together. Mable was employed at Lennox Industries for over 23 years. There were not many women in the factory at the time but mama could work circles around just about everyone. She was a hard worker and worked hard for the things she enjoyed. Mable was the most humble and kind person. She didn't need fancy things but she did like nice things. Perfume, Jewelry, purses, dresses and shoes or boots. She loved doing things for the family. Whether it was pulling her grand kids around in a wagon, or cooking for them, she was always doing something. She loved to travel, bake, cook, crochet, knit, garden, canned her own food, fish and go shopping. She loved having fish fry's the most. Her and Don would work weeks ahead just to make everything perfect. On Saturday August 29th, 2026, Mable passed away surrounded by family and friends. She leaves her love, her stories and her memories behind for family and friends to share. She is greatly missed but will never be forgotten.

God’s Garden

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
