A devoted laborer in the domestic business, Mable dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home. Her love for cooking, baking, sewing, and reading was not just a hobby but a testament to her nurturing nature. Mable's legacy lives on in her surviving children: Donna D. Derricott and her husband Tony D. Derricott, Daisy M. Sears, Henry A. Smith Jr. and his wife Keewanda L. Smith. She was the proud grandmother of Shannon Derricott, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and joy.
Her siblings, with whom she shared countless delightful conversations, will forever cherish the memories of her laughter and wisdom. Mable's phone calls were filled with love and empathy, reflecting her deep-rooted family values and her unwavering commitment to keeping family bonds strong.
A celebration of Mable's life will be held on May 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM at D.D. Watson Mortician, Inc., located at 117 West St 6545, Louisa, VA 23093. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived and to honor the impact Mable had on everyone she knew.
