Her spirit was finally set free, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. Born on May 13, 1957, in the vibrant and culturally rich landscape of Mexico, Socorro carried the warmth of her birthplace throughout her life. Her nurturing soul and boundless love knew no bounds, as she devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved. A doting and loving grandmother, Socorro spent every available moment with her treasured grandchildren, creating memories and imparting wisdom that would remain with them forever. Socorro was predeceased by her beloved mother, whose spirit she often honored through her own acts of kindness and compassion. She is survived by her three devoted children, Angel, Flor, and Iris, who were the light of her life. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren, who will forever remember the tender hugs and endless stories shared by their grandmother. Though her journey on this earth has concluded, her presence will forever be felt in the hearts of those she touched. Her family takes solace in the countless memories of joyful moments and the unyielding love she bestowed upon them. A service to celebrate Socorro's life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather at St. Mary Church, located at 700 Nash St., Wilson, NC 27893, to honor a life so beautifully lived. It will be a time to reflect on the joy and warmth Socorro brought into our lives and to say farewell to a cherished soul who will be deeply missed. In this time of mourning, the family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from friends and community members.
