In Loving Memory

Lynie Mae Cannon
February 18, 1942 — May 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynnie Cannon, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on May 27, 2026. Born in the quaint town of Braggadocio, Missouri, Lynnie brought light and laughter into the lives of those around her from her first breath.
Lynnie was the cherished daughter of Charlie and Mary (Hatton) Ash, who preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Russell Cannon Sr., and her siblings, Flora Cooley, Evelyn Null, Phyllis Hodge, Jack Ash, and Henry Ash. They welcomed her into eternal rest with open arms.
Lynnie married the love of her life, Russell Cannon, on May 13, a union that blossomed into a family who will continue to honor her memory. She is survived by her devoted children: Constance (Oatis Hood), Kenneth Sharp, and James (Renee) Cannon, who each carry pieces of her spirit and love in their hearts. Her legacy is further carried by her grandchildren, Miles (Chasity) Browning, Amanda (Steven) Sides, Kaitlyn Cannon, and Madison Cannon, and her great-grandchildren, Kerigan Jones and Izabella Browning, who brought immense joy to her later years.
A woman of warmth and creativity, Lynnie spent countless hours tending to her vibrant flower gardens, a reflection of the beauty she nurtured in her life. Her hands were never idle, as she found joy and solace in crafts, creating pieces that will be treasured by those fortunate enough to have received them.
Lynnie had a gentle spirit and a giving heart, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her laughter was contagious, and her smile had a way of brightening even the cloudiest of days. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends, filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals.
Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the love that will forever bind her family and friends. Lynnie's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the simple joys of life. Her legacy will continue to bloom in the gardens she left behind and in the hearts of those who knew her.
A service to honor Lynnie’s life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local community garden or craft center, in memory of Lynnie's passion for nurturing beauty and creativity.
Lynnie Cannon will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on through her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and love.
