Lynnette (Nettie) Yvonne Karnes Harvell

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynnette "Nettie" Yvonne Karnes Harvell, who left this world peacefully on August 9, 2026, at her beloved home, after a valiant and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. Nettie, as she was affectionately known, was surrounded by the love of her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived. Born on August 5, 1968, in Longbeach, California, Nettie was the cherished daughter of Billy Dean Karnes and Ruth Marie Casey. Her journey through life was marked by an unwavering faith, a deep love for her family, and a commitment to kindness and compassion that touched everyone she encountered. Nettie's life was blessed with a loving marriage to Lynn Harvell, whom she wed in June 2022. Together, they nurtured a life filled with love, joy, and service to God. Their union was a testament to their shared devotion, not only to one another but also to their family and faith. They delighted in the companionship of their grandchildren, their treasured fur pups, and the wonders of God's creation. Nettie's career was as diverse and dedicated as her spirit. She began her professional journey in the coal mining field, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Later, she transitioned to a role as an account payable specialist at Summit Utilities, Inc., from which she retired in December 2025. Through her work, Nettie exemplified diligence, integrity, and excellence. A faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Nettie's life was a shining example of living for the glory of God. Her faith was not merely spoken but demonstrated through her actions, radiating an inner strength that inspired all who knew her. Even in the most challenging times, Nettie's faith remained steadfast, rooted deeply in the word of God. She shared her love for God with her family, especially her precious grandchildren, and extended it to everyone she met. Nettie is survived by her devoted husband, Lynn Harvell, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and their five children: Amber (Jessie) Whitworth, Cody (Jessica) Braughler, Gerry (Jacob) Hammack, Eric Justin (Cate) Braughler, and Tyler (Kaylin) Adamson. She also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. In remembrance of Nettie, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing her family to honor her life in a manner that reflects the depth of their love and the strength of their bonds. Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find solace in the legacy of love, faith, and kindness that she leaves behind. As we remember Nettie, let us celebrate a life well-lived, a life that was a beacon of hope and faith. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
