Lynn Szymanski

Lynn Szymanski, a vibrant soul full of life and laughter, passed away peacefully under the wonderful care of Sturgil Hospice House. Born on October 16, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Lynn brought warmth and joy to all who knew her throughout her remarkable 73 years. Lynn was the cherished daughter of Giles and Irene Lyons, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion that she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Duane, with whom she shared many beautiful years and adventures. A free spirit at heart, Lynn had the unique ability to connect with anyone she met. Her open and friendly nature made her a beloved friend to many, and she was always up for a good time, especially when surrounded by her family and friends. Her infectious enthusiasm for life was most evident when she was near water, whether she was boating or jet skiing, activities she enjoyed immensely. Lynn's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her devoted children, Christine Kuno and her husband Joel, and Laura Geraci and her husband John. Her grandchildren, Zak, Andrew, Katilyn, and Matt, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Lynn also leaves behind her dear sister, Judy Heiden, who shared countless memories and adventures with her over the years. In her later years, Lynn found companionship and joy with her life partner, Milo Tadic, who was a steadfast presence and shared many of her passions. Lynn's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sturgil Hospice House for their compassionate care during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Lynn's memory, to honor the generous spirit that she embodied throughout her life. Lynn Szymanski's laughter, love for life, and ability to connect with others will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind, reminding us to embrace life with joy and openness.
