In Loving Memory

Lynn Dale "L.D" Mooring
July 31, 1960 — June 17, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynn Dale "L.D." Mooring, a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on June 17, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 31, 1960, in Waco, Texas, L.D. was the beloved son of Betty Elliott and the late Wadedell Mooring. His upbringing in the heart of Texas instilled in him the values of hard work, loyalty, and the importance of family, which he carried throughout his life.
L.D. was a man whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was known for his laid-back spirit, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, most notably taking leisurely naps and spending quality time with his loved ones. His home was always open, a gathering place where laughter and love were shared freely.
L.D. is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Tina Mooring, who was his steadfast partner and confidante. His legacy continues through his son, Chris Hill, and daughter-in-law, Crystal. Grandfather to Kacey, Keylee, and Tyler Hill. He is also survived by his sister, Karla Mills, and her husband, Kenneth, whose bond he cherished deeply. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces, Crystal Vail and her husband John, and Ricki Allen and her husband Michael.
He was predeceased by his father, Wadedell Mooring, his stepfather, Bill Elliott, and his brother, Ricky Mooring. Though they have gone before him, their memories were a constant source of comfort and strength to L.D.
A celebration of L.D.'s life will be held on August 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the home he shared with Tina. This gathering will be a reflection of the love and joy that L.D. brought into the world, a chance for family and friends to come together to share stories, remember his laughter, and find solace in each other.
In honor of L.D.'s memory, the family encourages all who knew him to take a moment to appreciate the simpler things in life, take a nap, embrace loved ones a little tighter, and to let laughter fill their days.
L.D. Mooring will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May we carry forward his legacy of kindness, love, and the joy of life's simple pleasures.
