Lynn Margaret Stancell

Lynn, born on February 22, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully departed this world on October 31, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with illness. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Lynn was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond Charles and Lorraine Edna Doebler. She was also predeceased by her dear grandmother, Claire Ella Roberts, and her sister, Jan Lou Lacy. She leaves behind her loving son, Steven Stancell, her brother, Ron Grant Doebler, and her former husband, Harold Stancell, with whom she shared many cherished memories since their marriage on June 26, 1982. A proud graduate of Franklin High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, Lynn embarked on a diverse career path that showcased her versatility and dedication. She began her professional journey as a stewardess with Delta Airlines, bringing warmth and hospitality to countless passengers. Lynn later pursued roles in accounting for trucking companies, excelled as a sales representative for Copy Graphics, and eventually found her calling as a customer service representative for Comcast. Her career was marked by her commitment to excellence and her genuine care for those she served. Lynn's life was enriched by her love for reading and participation in book clubs, where she found joy in the company of fellow literature enthusiasts. She was known for her keen ability to remember and celebrate family milestones, always commemorating special events, birthdays, graduations, and accomplishments with thoughtful cards and gifts. One of Lynn's greatest pleasures was watching Joel Osteen, whose messages of hope and faith brought her comfort and inspiration. Her compassionate nature was evident in the way she gave of herself, always extending kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the caregivers who provided Lynn with unwavering support and love throughout her illness. Their friendship and dedication will be forever cherished and remembered. In memory of Lynn's generous spirit, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization she held close to her heart.
