In Loving Memory

Lynda L. Boles
January 13, 1957 — May 21, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Lynda L. Boles, a cherished sister, devoted friend, and compassionate soul. Lynda departed this world suddenly on May 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew her. Born on January 13, 1957, in Port Chester, NY, Lynda was the beloved daughter of Harold and Margaret (Kolf) Boles, who preceded her in death.
Lynda attended and graduated from Port Chester High School, laying the foundation for a remarkable career in accounting, where she dedicated over 45 years of her life. Her career was marked by integrity and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Later, she ventured into a new path, spending four years in security at the Capital Theatre in Port Chester, where her diligent nature and attention to detail were invaluable.
Beyond her professional life, Lynda's heart was vast and welcoming. She was an active member of the Port Chester/Rye/Rye Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where she dedicated countless hours serving her community with compassion and care. Her nurturing spirit extended to the animal kingdom as well, as she spent two decades devoted to wildlife rehabilitation, providing care and solace to countless creatures in need.
Lynda's love for music was boundless, often filling her home with melodies that resonated deeply with her. Her three beloved cats, who remain as her surviving companions, were often the audience to her harmonious musings. Lynda's home was always open, and she was ever ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family alike.
She is survived by her loving brother, Harold, and her dear sister, Roberta, both of whom will hold her memory close to their hearts. Lynda's gentle spirit is also remembered by many close friends and the communities she served. Her body may lie at rest, but as her family beautifully shares, "Her body lies but still she roams," echoing the enduring presence of her spirit in their lives.
A service to honor Lynda's life will be held on May 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Craft Memorial Home, located at 34 Leicester Ave. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Lynda are invited to gather in celebration of her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The David Z Foundation, an organization close to Lynda's heart, ensuring her legacy of kindness continues to touch lives.
Lynda L. Boles will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her compassion, love for music, and readiness to help others will remain a beacon of light in the hearts of many.
