With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lynda Chevalier, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on May 4, 2026, at the age of 77. Lynda was born on October 23, 1948, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Vernon and Geraldine Malik, who predeceased her and undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in eternity. Lynda's life was a tapestry of love, kindness, and creativity. She shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising their children: Daniel Pischke, Stacey Hamilton, and Michele Chrisman. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren—Catherine, Stacey, Brooke, Phoebe, and Joshua—and her precious great-grandson, Quinton, who brought her endless joy. As a sister, Lynda shared an unbreakable bond with her brothers, James and John Malik, and her sister, Jenny Borgan. Her family was the center of her world, and she was the glue that kept them close. Lynda was blessed with a natural talent for crafting and enjoyed pouring her heart into her many hobbies. Her love for traveling and camping with family and friends left a trail of cherished memories. She was renowned for her culinary skills, often hailed as the "best cook in the world," providing comfort and joy through her delicious meals. Her professional life was marked by her dedication and compassion, as she spent 12 years at Aurora Health Care, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and professionalism before retiring. In addition to her family, Lynda is remembered fondly by her special friends, Patti and Bev, who shared in her laughter and adventures. Lynda was predeceased by her parents, her son Jon, and her grandson Mikie. Their memories live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Lynda's life, respecting her family's wishes for an intimate gathering. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. In a special message, they express, "May the memories you hold of Lynda stay close to your heart, as mine will stay with me forever." Lynda Chevalier will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and warmth will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire and guide us.
