Lyle K. Wyckoff Jr.

Lyle K. Wyckoff Jr., beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 63, due to complications from glioblastoma. Born on July 13, 1963, in Beach, North Dakota, Lyle was a spirited individual whose life was a testament to resilience, adventure, and kindness. Lyle was the cherished son of Marcelina Krug and the late Lyle K. Wyckoff. He shared his childhood with his brother, the late Terry L. Wyckoff, and his surviving siblings, Cher Mae Wyckoff (Kathy) and Jack G. Wyckoff. Growing up, Lyle was surrounded by a loving family, including his paternal grandparents, Robert W. Wyckoff and Mae Wyckoff (Brown), and his maternal grandparents, Joseph C. Hecker and Wilhelmina Hecker (Wock) along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Lyle's educational journey began at St. Bernard's Elementary School in Belfield, ND, and continued through his attendance at Belfield High School. His early career was spent in the oil field industry, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, illness later prevented him from continuing his professional endeavors. Despite life's challenges, Lyle remained a vibrant and adventurous spirit. He had a lifelong love for the great outdoors, where he excelled as a marksman with a rifle and spent many cherished hours fishing and hunting. Lyle was also known for his spontaneous rides on his motorbike, often taking him on thrilling adventures through the countryside and city alike. His stories of evading the police on his motorbike were legendary among his friends, who admired his fearless nature. Lyle's charisma and generosity were evident in his everyday life. He was a man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need, earning him many loyal friends who were touched by his kindness and compassion. His legacy of empathy and goodwill will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to know him. Lyle is survived by his devoted mother, Marcelina Krug, and his loving children, Kimberly Wyckoff and Desiree Klincker, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, whose lives will forever be enriched by the stories and values he imparted. Lyle also leaves behind his nieces, Melissa Scaletti (Wyckoff) and Jennifer Wyckoff, and nephew Christopher Haverluk all who were dear to his heart. Though he will be deeply missed, Lyle's indomitable spirit, love for adventure, and unwavering kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him, and forever celebrated by those who remain.
