Lyla Marie vine
March 17, 2010 — May 16, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lyla Marie Vine, who gracefully entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 16, 2026, at the tender age of 16. Born on March 17, 2010, in the peaceful setting of Utah, Lyla was a beacon of light and joy to those who knew her.
Lyla was the cherished daughter of Jonah and Haley Vine, who lovingly raised her to be the vibrant and compassionate young woman she became. Her life, although too brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that touched everyone she met. Lyla was predeceased by her beloved sister, Kayla, and we take comfort in knowing they are now reunited.
A student at Holly Grove High School, Lyla was known for her bright smile and sparkling blue eyes that radiated warmth and kindness. Her innate desire to help others and her dedication to her faith were evident in her active participation at The River Church in Durham. She embraced her role as a daughter of God, striving to live a life that reflected her deep faith and desire to uplift those around her.
Outside of her spiritual and academic pursuits, Lyla was a spirited cheerleader, captivating audiences with her energy and enthusiasm. Her love for cheerleading was matched only by her devotion to her family and friends, with whom she cherished spending time. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or an adventurous day out, Lyla found joy in the simple moments shared with her loved ones.
Despite her own silent struggles with depression, Lyla's courage and resilience were a testament to her strength. Her decision to leave this world on her own terms speaks to the personal battles she faced, and we honor her bravery in sharing her journey with us.
In keeping with the family's wishes, a private funeral service was held on May 16, 2026. As we come to terms with this unimaginable loss, we celebrate Lyla's life and the indelible impact she made. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those she left behind.
Though she is no longer with us, Lyla's spirit will continue to inspire us to live with compassion and empathy, reminding us always of the profound difference one person can make in the lives of others. May she rest in peace and eternal light.
