He was the beloved son of Muriam and Carlos Desuze, who preceded him in death, along with his cherished wife, Linda Folks Desuze.
Luis and Linda's love story began in Brooklyn, NY, where they married and shared 24 wonderful years together. Their union was a beacon of love, and together they created a nurturing home filled with joy, raising their six children: Damaris Desuze, Yahaira Maitland, Dixian Desuze, Luis Desuze Jr., Kalima Williams, and Shaherazade Desuze. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, whose lives will forever be enriched by his memory.
Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, Luis had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His jokes and laughter were always present to lighten the mood, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on countless lives. To know Luis was to experience a warmth and hospitality that could turn strangers into friends and friends into family.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Luis's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Luis's generous spirit and his commitment to helping others.
