February 21, 1969 — June 12, 2026

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Luis German Garcia Bautista, who left this world on June 12, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on February 21, 1969, in San Luis De La Paz, Guanajuato, Mexico, Luis touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth and generosity. He passed away tragically in a vehicle collision accident while selflessly lending a hand to a family friend, a testament to his character and his always-helpful nature. Luis was the beloved son of the late Arturo Garcia Padron and Delfina Bautista Salinas. Preceding him in death were his father, Arturo, and brother, Arturo Garcia Bautista. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness through his surviving family, including his devoted wife of 26 years, Maria De Jesus Cardona Monsivais, who he married on July 31, 1999, in Texas. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and laughter. Luis is survived by his cherished children, Jonathan Uriel Garcia and Juan Ricardo Garcia, and his daughter-in-law, Guadalupe Sanchez Cornejo. His grandchildren, Adriel N. Garcia-Sanchez and Kaylee A. Garcia-Sanchez, were the light of his life, and he adored every moment spent with them. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Eduardo Bautista (and wife Eva), Alejandro Bautista (and wife Roselia), Isabel Bautista (and husband Jesus Torres Bautista), Moises Garcia Bautista, Juan Billegas Bautista (and wife Sara), Juan Andres Bautista (and wife Edith), and Alma Menchaca Bautista (and husband Raul Menchaca). A skilled and diligent worker, Luis dedicated his life to the field of construction. His expertise extended to mechanical work, landscaping, property maintenance, and vehicle moving and towing. No task was too great for Luis, who approached every job with unwavering dedication and an open heart, always eager to help others. Luis was a proud Guadalupano with the St. Mary Visitation Catholic Church, where he faithfully attended services every Sunday. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his service to the church and his community. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Luis brought joy to family gatherings and was the life of every barbecue. His kind and generous spirit was matched only by his commitment to his family and friends. While he could be affectionately "grumpy" when the moment called for seriousness, his love and care for those around him were ever-present. A service to celebrate Luis's life will be held on July 19, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, located at 205 W Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644. As we honor his memory, we remember the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he shared so freely. Luis's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Luis's memory to a cause dear to him, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy of love and generosity continue to inspire us all.
