It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Luis Enrique Pagan, a beloved son, father, and friend, who left us too soon on April 23, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on November 6, 1970, in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Luis was a beacon of joy and resilience who touched the lives of everyone he met with his infectious smile and kind spirit. Luis was the cherished son of Jolinda Ovalle and was predeceased by his father, Luis Antonio Pagan, whose memory he held dear throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved son, Luis Alejandro Pagan, who was the light of his life and his proudest accomplishment. Luis’s legacy will live on through his son, who embodies his father’s strong values and love for life. Luis's educational journey began at Colegio Pentecostal Mizpa in San Juan, where he completed 18 credit hours, demonstrating a commitment to learning and self-improvement. He went on to earn his GED, a testament to his determination and perseverance. Professionally, Luis found his calling as an elevator technician, a career that allowed him to combine his technical skills with his passion for helping others. He dedicated many years to Otis Elevator Company and the New York City Housing Authority, where he was known not only for his expertise but also for his unwavering dedication and integrity. His colleagues remember him as a dependable and warm-hearted individual who always went the extra mile to ensure the safety and satisfaction of those he served. Beyond his professional life, Luis was a man who truly loved life and took every opportunity to find happiness. His zest for life was evident in his every action, whether he was sharing a hearty laugh with friends or enjoying the simple pleasures of everyday life. Luis’s presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew him, and his ability to find joy in the little things was an inspiration to many. A celebration of Luis's life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM. We will gather to remember the incredible man he was and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. While we mourn the loss of Luis, we also celebrate the beautiful life he led and the love he shared with those around him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Luis's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and desire to make the world a brighter place. Luis Enrique Pagan will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
