It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Luis Angel Hernandez, who departed this world peacefully on May 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on December 6, 1955, in the vibrant town of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Luis was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion to those fortunate enough to have known him. Luis was the cherished son of the late Asunción Salas Lorenzo and Fundador Hernandez Rodriguez, who instilled in him the values of hard work and devotion to family, which he carried throughout his life. Preceded in death by his beloved parents and siblings José Antonio Hernandez, José Manuel Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, and Maria Salas, Luis now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and unity. A devoted family man, Luis is survived by his loving siblings Daisy Hernandez, Nitza Hernández, Evelyn Hernández, Jesús Hernández, Juan Hernández, and María Victoria Hernández. Their lives, and the lives of his many nieces and nephews, were immeasurably enriched by Luis's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. Luis's journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family and community. Known for his generous spirit and gentle demeanor, he was often the first to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. His laughter, warmth, and the twinkle in his eye will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Luis's remarkable life at a service to be held on May 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Amigone Funeral Home, located at 1132 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14209. This gathering will be a time to honor and cherish the memories of a man who touched so many lives with his genuine love and compassion. As we bid farewell to Luis, we hold close a special message from his family: "Forever in our hearts." Indeed, Luis's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved so dearly. Rest in peace, dear Luis, knowing you are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
