Lue departed this world from the comforts of a hospital bed, surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Born on October 5, 1943, in Richmond,Virginia Lue was a beacon of warmth and compassion from a young age. She was the daughter of a vibrant community and carried the values of her upbringing into every facet of her life. Her journey led her to Jamaica High School, where she graduated with grace and ambition, ready to make her mark on the world. Lue embarked on a fulfilling career with Pan Am Airlines, where she dedicated a decade of her life as a ticket agent. In her role, she not only facilitated countless journeys but also touched the lives of many travelers with her kindness and impeccable service. Her time with Pan Am was marked by her unwavering dedication and her ability to spread warmth and positivity to everyone she encountered. Beyond her professional achievements, Lue's greatest pride and joy were her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James W. Houston, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Lue is survived by her cherished children: Sylvia Marcano (Cirillo), Casimiro Yulfo (Veshay), Desmond Houston, and James W. Houston Jr. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit. Lue's nurturing presence and unwavering support were constants in their lives, and she leaves behind a tapestry of family bonds strengthened by her love. Lue's life was a testament to the power of empathy, love, and resilience. She was a guiding light to her family, a loyal friend, and a compassionate soul whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.
