It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Lucky Hamilton, who peacefully departed this life on March 27, 2026, at the age of 88. Lucky was born on November 14, 1937, in the small town of Hellier, Kentucky, to Clara and Nola Hamilton. He was the youngest of six children and is predeceased by his parents, as well as his brothers Tennis, Bill, Prince, Wesley, and Carvel.
Lucky was a man whose presence lit up any room he entered, his quick wit and generous smile endearing him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a man of strength, intelligence, and determination, traits that carried him from a humble beginning to a fulfilling career and a life rich with love and accomplishment.
Lucky's professional journey led him to become a skilled welder at Bellevue Manufacturing, where he honed his craft with precision and dedication. Later, he found a home at Ford Motor Company, where his hard work and commitment earned him the respect of his colleagues and a well-deserved retirement.
A passionate man, Lucky found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, spending countless hours in nature, reveling in its beauty and serenity. His love for restoring old cars was well known, and he took immense pride in showcasing his beautifully restored vehicles at car shows, where his work was admired by many.
Lucky was a devoted member of the Uork Chapel in Bellevue, Ohio, where he found solace and community. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life, providing him with strength and comfort.
Family was at the heart of Lucky's world. He was predeceased by his beloved wives, Iris and Betty Hamilton, who were his partners in life and love. He is survived by his cherished children: Gary and Teri Hamilton, Lucky Hamilton II and Michelle Hamilton, Wendy and Bob Gayle, and Clara Michelle. His legacy lives on in his 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Lucky's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Elmwood in Fremont for the exceptional care and compassion they provided during his final days.
In honoring Lucky's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause close to his heart.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we are reminded of the indelible mark he has left on our hearts. Lucky Hamilton lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends, as they carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
