Mary Lucille Hall

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Lucille Hall, who left this world peacefully on September 4, 2026, at Legacy Manor Nursing Home after a courageous battle with dementia. Lucille was born on January 5, 1935, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, to Maggie Mae Buckhalter Williams and Clinton Williams. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late Richard William Hall, with whom she shared a heartwarming marriage of 49 years. Their union, which began on March 7, 1971, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they were blessed with a daughter, Tina Crystal Hall of Leland, Mississippi, whom Lucille cherished beyond measure. A devoted sister, Lucille is survived by her sister, Opal I. Smith of Wesson, Mississippi; her brother, Jessie (Jake) and his wife Gayle Williams of Huntsville, Alabama; and her sister, Maggie Louise and her husband Daniel Collins of Salisbury, Maryland. Though she had no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, Lucille's family was her pride and joy, and her love extended to all her relatives and friends. Lucille dedicated over 25 years of her career as a cafeteria server at the Western Line School District (Obannon), where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her warm smile and kind spirit. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life, as she was a faithful member of Glendale Baptist Church for over 50 years. Her church family was dear to her heart, and her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. In her leisure time, Lucille found joy in gardening, tending to her beloved plants with care and devotion. She also delighted in her collection of dolls, each one a cherished piece of her heart. Above all, Lucille loved spending time with family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Lucille will be remembered as a compassionate, considerate, and selfless individual with a heart of gold. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her wonderful personality and warm spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A service to celebrate Lucille's life will be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Boone's Funeral Home, located at 905 Main Street, Greenville, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lucille's memory to the Alzheimer's Research Association, located in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, as a tribute to her enduring spirit and in support of a cause close to her heart. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and caregivers at Legacy Manor Nursing Home for their compassionate care and support during Lucille's final days. Lucille will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
