Lt. Colonel Edward J. Heise peacefully departed this life on June 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on November 5, 1931, in Norwalk, Connecticut, Ed was the eldest son of Oscar and Minnie Heise.
Ed joined the Marines in 1953 where he dedicated over 22 years of his life. His commitment to his country was unwavering.
Ed's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carole, and a proud father to his four children, David, Michael, Brian, and Shawn. His legacy is carried on by his four grandchildren: Brianna, Calen, Taran, and Issac, who were the light of his life. Ed is also survived by his brothers, Carl and Robert, who, along with his extensive family, will miss him dearly. His departed brother Richard will meet Ed at the gates.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held on [INSERT WAKE AND MASS INFORFORMATION HERE]. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 207 East Ave., East Norwalk, CT. The service will be a testament to his remarkable life, honoring the man who touched so many with his kindness, loyalty, and indomitable spirit. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ed's memory to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or a charity of your choice. Ed's life was a testament to service, family, and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
