It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loydd Earl Braxton, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Loydd left this world far too soon on April 4, 2026, at the age of 64, becoming a victim of crime. His unexpected departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born on May 5, 1961, in the quaint town of Paris, Texas, Loydd was a beacon of warmth and kindness. He was the beloved son of Martha Davis, who instilled in him the values of compassion, diligence, and integrity. Loydd's life was a testament to these virtues, which he carried through every chapter and relationship of his life.
Loydd was a devoted and loving father, survived by his cherished children, who were his pride and joy. He was predeceased by some of his children, whose memories he held dear and whose spirits he carried with him every day. His legacy continues through the lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life and to whom he was affectionately known as "Grandpa Loydd."
A man of simple pleasures, Loydd found joy in the everyday moments that many might overlook. Whether it was a quiet afternoon spent fishing, a leisurely walk through the park, or a spirited conversation with friends, Loydd embraced life with an open heart and a generous spirit. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, a trait that endeared him to all who crossed his path.
Loydd was a man of resilience, having faced and overcome many of life's challenges with grace and fortitude. His strength was an inspiration to those around him, and his unwavering faith and optimism served as a guiding light for his family and friends. He was the kind of person who would lend a helping hand without hesitation, offering support and encouragement wherever it was needed.
A celebration of Loydd's life will be held on April 13, 2026, at Piikins Mortuary, located at 1337e Monoco. The service will commence at 11:30 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a life well-lived. Loydd's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Though Loydd is no longer with us, his legacy of love and kindness will continue to touch the lives of many. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the beautiful memories and enduring love that he leaves behind. As we say our final goodbyes, we hold on to the belief that Loydd's spirit will forever guide us, offering comfort and peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Loydd's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting his generous nature and commitment to making the world a better place.
Rest in peace, dear Loydd. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
