Born on March 24, 1959, at Bartholomew County Hospital, Wayne was a beacon of warmth and kindness, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Wayne was the beloved son of Lloyd and Doris Henderson, who instilled in him the virtues of compassion and generosity. From his early days in Hope, Indiana, where he graduated from Hauser High School, Wayne demonstrated an innate ability to make everyone feel cherished and welcome. His gift for hospitality and his genuine interest in others made him a cherished friend to many.
Throughout his life, Wayne was a dedicated member of the First Assembly of God church. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, and he was actively involved in the church's youth group, where he inspired and guided many young souls with his gentle spirit and unwavering faith.
Wayne's life was marked by love and family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Miranda Perry, who carries forward his legacy of kindness and empathy. Although predeceased by his son, Kyle, Wayne's love for him was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment they shared. Wayne's siblings, Faylene and Michael, remember him as a brother who was always there with a listening ear and a comforting presence.
