He was surrounded by his beloved family as he peacefully transitioned, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and unyielding spirit. Born on June 18, 1977, Lovelle spent his 49 years making an indelible impact on everyone he met. Lovelle was the cherished son of the late John and Mary Valentine, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms in the afterlife, along with his dear aunt, Shirley Valentine. His life was a testament to the values they instilled in him—compassion, resilience, and the unwavering importance of family. A proud graduate of Benton Harbor High School, Lovelle was known for his intelligence, humor, and an insatiable curiosity that inspired those around him. He was a devoted husband to Kizzy Cornelius-Valentine, his partner and best friend, whose unwavering support and love stood as a testament to the profound bond they shared. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges with grace and strength. Lovelle was a loving father to Lovelle Valentine Jr. and Dontae Valentine, who were his pride and joy. His sons will remember him as a guiding light, a source of wisdom, and a constant source of love. Lovelle's sister, Lacy Valentine, held a special place in his heart, and their sibling bond was characterized by mutual support and deep affection. He is also survived by his in-laws, Wandru and Sonja Wimberly, and Willie and Cynthia Cornelius, who embraced him as their own, along with Quentin and Gloria Cornelius. His cousins, Javier and Isis Valentine, and a host of extended family and friends will forever cherish the memories they created with him. Lovelle's generous spirit extended beyond his family, as he was committed to helping those in need and supporting causes close to his heart. In keeping with his selfless nature, his family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
