Loved One

Tracy lived a life defined by service, generosity, and unfailing kindness. He will be most remembered for his warmth, friendship, and willingness to help others. He entered every room with a smile and gave great hugs. He loved the outdoors and was always up for any activity including biking, hiking, bowling, racquet ball, or just hanging out with friends. He also loved to eat and enjoyed most categories of food you are not supposed to eat! Tracy especially enjoyed a good game night where his competitive spirit could "shine" and the laughter never stopped. Tracy studied engineering at Oregon State University and eventually made his home in the south King County area. For the past twelve years, Tracy worked for Boeing where he met many respected colleagues and friends. Tracy comes from a large family and was the proud father of his three children, Lindsey, Isaac, and Ryan. Tracy loved spending time with his family whenever possible. Tracy was one of nine children - Wendy, Robin, Mitzi, Cody, Dustin, Alesha, Timmy, and Heather. His mom and dad, Cheryl and Don, always had their hands full! With marriages and the many nieces and nephews to follow, it was a big clan indeed and Tracy loved them all. Tracy was so touched that so many of his family were able to visit him this summer. Tracy met and married the love of his life Monica in 2009. They enjoyed many adventures together. Tracy's last words were telling Monica he loved her and he was holding her hand as he passed. Tracy was a man of action and service. His passion for service found a home when he joined the Board of Projecto Honduras which serves a very poor rural area of Honduras providing medical care, food support, school supplies, and runs an eye surgery clinic restoring the sight of countless Hondurans. Tracy and Monica frequently traveled to Honduras where you would find them loving on and caring for everyone they encountered. Tracy particularly loved working in the eye clinic because he never tired of seeing the huge smiles on the faces of those who had their sight restored. In light of this, it was very fitting that Tracy's last act of service on this earth was to donate his eyes blessing someone else with the gift of sight. This summer was a challenging one but Tracy's faith, sense of humor, graciousness, and love for his family and friends never wavered even in the face of his devastating diagnosis. Tracy's wish was to stay home for as long as possible even as he became wheelchair bound. Tracy's family and friends rallied and made this wish possible. Tracy was so grateful to everyone who cared for and visited him. Monica would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stepped up in such a big way to help Tracy and her during Tracy's illness. It took a true team effort. A special thanks to Tracy's mom and dad who packed up their van and drove from Missouri to be with and help care for Tracy. Finally, there are no adequate words to thank Tracy's sister, Robin and her husband, Dave. Robin took over the administrative duties, including juggling and keeping everyone on schedule for the many medical appointments all while caring for their two special needs daughters on her own so Dave could come to Washington to be Tracy's arms and legs 24/7. Dave's selfless love and care for his brother and friend where an amazing testimony for all who witnessed it. Tracy asked that his passing be marked by a celebration of his life with plenty of good food and the chance for people to share their stories of their time with him. To honor this wish, please join Monica at the reception in the building next door immediately following this service. Please bring your stories to share.
