It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Jourdain Sr, a devoted father of four, who passed away at the age of 81 on May 15, 2026, in his sleep due to medical health issues. Jean was born on April 2, 1945 in the country of Haiti and city of Petionville. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, known for his compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and courage that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A native of Haiti, Jean was a pillar of strength for his family and a guiding light for his children’s and grandchildren’s. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind spirit touched the lives of all who crossed his path. Jean was a man of integrity and honor, dedicated to providing a loving home and instilling strong values in his children’s. Jean is survived by his beloved wife Marie-Ange, his cherished children Paul, Fredline, Frantzy, Fred, Samuel, Shirly and Samantha. Along with grandchildren’s Felecia, Eliana, Fabiene, Nadia, Magalie, Francoise, Pierre, James, Valdimar and Raul. In addition to a host of family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. In addition to being a loving family man, Jean was a 20-year member of the Haitian police force and also worked as a nursing assistant in Haiti’s healthcare system for 10 years, showcasing the depth, richness of his character and servanthood heart. The family invites friends and wishers to join them in a memorial service to celebrate Jeans life on May 28, 2026 at 11:am at Harvest Funeral Chapel and also his burial in his homeland of Haitia at Alma Pompes Funebres. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hope for Haiti in Jean's name, as he was passionate about the wellbeing of his country. Jean’s untimely departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love, courage, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
