In Loving Memory
Lourdes Campbell
October 15, 1975 — February 18, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Lourdes Campbell, who departed this life peacefully at home on February 18, 2026, at the age of 50, after an extended illness. Born on October 15, 1975, in the charming town of Greensboro, North Carolina, Lourdes lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Lourdes was the cherished daughter of Mrs. Lillian Snell Daniel. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Mr. John Edward Daniel, Sr., and her beloved daughter, Angela Theresa Snell. The memory of their love and shared life experiences were constant sources of strength and joy for Lourdes.
Lourdes is survived by her devoted daughter, Mrs. Georgette Dixon, and her son-in-law, Minister Eddie James Dixon, who reside in Warthen, Georgia. Her sister, Ms. Bertha Parks, of Florida, stood by her side through life's joys and challenges, solidifying a bond only sisters could share. Lourdes's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Ms. Constance R. Boddie of St. Augustine, Florida, and Mr. Anthoni C. Canty of Gainesville, Georgia, who brought immense pride and happiness into her life.
Her family blossomed further with the arrival of nine great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Mr. Bernard M. Irwin of Panama City, Florida; Mr. Gehazi Irwin of Jacksonville, Florida; Mr. Anthoni Chance Canty and Mr. Andrew Cashton Canty; Mr. Nemaj Williams of Tennille, Georgia; and Ms. Allyiah Calise Canty of Warner Robins, Georgia. Lourdes's nurturing spirit also embraced her God-daughter, Ms. Tamaira Trammell, with whom she shared a profound bond.
Lourdes will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and her ability to bring light into the lives of everyone she met. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family are the hallmarks of a life lived in service and love.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have offered their support and love during this difficult time. Lourdes's life will be celebrated in a service on February 26, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Woodard Broadnax Funeral Home, located at 3200 N. Ohenry Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27405. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring the extraordinary life of Lourdes Campbell, whose spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Lourdes, to continue her legacy of kindness and generosity. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who passed before her, and may we all find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
