Loura Mae Morris Bone
April 26, 1965 — May 31, 2026
With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Loura Mae Morris Bone, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Loura left this world peacefully at her home on ____ at the age of 61, surrounded by the comfort and love of her family. Born on April 26, 1965, in the small, farming community of Kennett, Missouri, she brought joy to everyone she met throughout her life.
Loura was the beloved daughter of the late David Melson Morris and Zelpha Mae Williams Morris, and sister to the late Sue Masters. She was also predeceased by her devoted husband, Billy Bone, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter.
Loura is survived by her loving daughters, Jamie Taylor and Bekka Masters, who were the light of her life. Her legacy continues to shine brightly through her cherished grandson, Kayson, who affectionately called her "Nanny" Loura adored spending time with Kayson, often filling their days with laughter and playing.
She leaves behind her supportive siblings, Judy Springfield, Alice (Gary) Whiteside, Vickie (Steve) Green, and her brother David (Connie) Morris, as well as her brother-in-law, Danny Masters. Her presence will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who became family over the years.
Loura was a student of Meridian High School. Her professional path led her to the restaurant industry, where her love for cooking touched the lives of many. As the owner of the Mound City Cafe and more recently employed as a cook at Huckleberry's, Loura's cooking abilities were an expression of her love and care for others.
Known for her laugh that could brighten the darkest of days, Loura's kindness knew no bounds. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her spirit of compassion and her genuine smile left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
In accordance with Loura's wishes, a private celebration of life will be held to honor her life and legacy. In this intimate gathering, family and close friends will come together to celebrate the beautiful memories and the love she freely gave to all.
As we remember Loura, we hold her close in our hearts, cherishing the time we shared and the lessons of love and kindness she imparted.
