Louise Flowers, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, surrounded by love and cherished memories. Born on September 24, 1945, in Waverly, Georgia, Louise was the treasured daughter of the late Herman and Mattie Flowers. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of sharing one's heart with others. A proud alumnus of Risley High School, Louise dedicated over 30 years of her professional life to the Sea Island Company, where she was known not only for her diligent work ethic but also for her warm smile and kindness to colleagues. Beyond her career, Louise was an active member of the First African Baptist Church, contributing her talents and spirit to the community until her health no longer permitted. Louise's heart belonged to the simple joys of life — crabbing and fishing, tending to her beautiful flowers, and nurturing her beloved fish tanks, which adorned every room in her home. Known for her "sweet Louise" smile and that unmistakable stern look, she was a woman of gentle but firm guidance. Her family and friends will fondly remember her delectable Key lime pies, a sweet testament to her love and care. Louise was preceded in death by her daughter Gail Wynn, grandson Felix Walters jr., and siblings Eugene Flowers, China Mack, Mitchell Flowers, Ervin Flowers, Edward Flowers, and sister-in-law Vivian Flowers. In addition to her professional and personal pursuits, Louise shared a profound bond with her family. She is survived by her son, Rickey (Sylvia) Walker, and her cherished grandchildren, Reneka Walker, Devin Walters, and Malik Walker. Her legacy of love and warmth extends to her surviving siblings, brothers Lenton (Clara) Flowers and Harry (Sakile) Flowers, and sister Vernia Lee (Alonza) Ward, along with sisters-in-law Millieann Flowers and Cheryl Flowers. Yet, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, including her dear friend of over 60 years, Mary James. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Coastal Manor Memory Care and Hospice of the Golden Isles, and a special thanks to Harry Flowers and Jackuelin Norman, her devoted caregivers. In the words of her favorite quote, "We all must say our grace and leave this place at some point." Louise Flowers leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and unforgettable memories.
