Louise Barrow, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully from natural causes on June 29, 2026. Born on March 5, 1931, in Portland, Oregon, Louise was the daughter of Hazel and Raymond. She lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and her profession. Louise was a proud graduate of Lake View High School and further pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school at Trocare. Her career in nursing was marked by her unwavering commitment to caring for others, working diligently at ECMC, Lakeview Nursing Home, and Portland Hospital. Her gentle touch and kind spirit left an indelible mark on her patients and colleagues alike. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her late husband, Raymond, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. Though predeceased by her children—sons Raymond, Robert, and John, daughter Deborah, and grandchildren Kim, Michelle, Cassie, Megan, Dina, Jonathan, and Stacey—Louise's legacy lives on in her surviving family members and the countless lives she touched. Louise was blessed with seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jared, Isabella, Autumn, Mariam, Maddie, JP, and Ashley, who brought immense joy to her life. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the aroma of her famous home-cooked meals. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Portland Hospital for the exceptional care provided to Louise, ensuring her comfort and dignity in her final days. A celebration of Louise's life will be held on July 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM with a memorial brunch at Uncle Joe's Diner, located at 4869 Southwestern Boulevard, Hamburg, 14075. Friends and family are invited to gather in her honor, sharing memories and celebrating a life well-lived. In tribute to Louise's generous spirit and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer Fund, an organization dear to her heart. Louise Barrow will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering strength, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
