Not long after, he was drafted into the Army, where he served his country with honor and dignity, receiving an honorable discharge a few years later. His time in the military shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and commitment.
After his military service, Louis embarked on a distinguished career, initially working at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, where his contributions were valued and respected. His career path was as varied as it was impressive; he also spent time working at Hahn's shoe store and found success as a car salesman at a local dealership.

His legacy lives on through them and a host of adoring nieces and nephews who will miss his wisdom, humor, and boundless kindness.
Throughout his life, Louis was a beacon of warmth and generosity, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand. His family remembers him as a gentle soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to his garden, sharing stories of the past, or savoring a good book.
The Ashton family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at __ for their compassionate care and support during Louis's final days. Their kindness and dedication provided comfort and peace to Louis and his family during a difficult time.
As we celebrate the life of Louis Ashton, we remember a man who touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will live on in the stories we share and the love that binds us together.
