It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Lou Ann Langford, a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to grace, strength, and generosity. Lou Ann peacefully departed this world on May 30, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her beloved family and compassionate caregivers in the comfort of her home. Born on October 23, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, Lou Ann was the cherished daughter of Woody and Pauline Oliver. She graduated from Pascal High School and furthered her education at Texas Christian University (TCU), laying the foundation for a life filled with accomplishments and heartfelt connections. In December of 1978, Lou Ann married the love of her life, Joe Langford, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership until his passing. Together, they built a life rooted in love, adventure, and shared dreams. Their union was blessed with a loving family, including her cherished daughter Debbie Phillips and her spouse Mark, and her devoted son Guy Garland and his spouse Leslie. Lou Ann's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the co-founder of Lake Country Tour & Travel in Granbury, Texas. Her passion for discovery and her knack for entrepreneurship also flourished in the world of antiques as the co-owner of Merci Beaucoup. She was not only a strong businesswoman but also a gracious hostess known for her love of decorating and entertaining, where she effortlessly combined elegance and warmth to make every occasion special. Her love for horses, travel, and the company of friends and family defined her life. Lou Ann found immense joy in the simple pleasures, and her home was a sanctuary of love and laughter. She was a devoted grandmother to Beau and Raesha Garland, Cody and Janel Garland, Woodie Blackburn, and Taylor and Patrick Sella, and a proud great-grandmother to seven wonderful great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. Lou Ann is predeceased by her parents, Woody and Pauline Oliver, and her beloved husband, Joe Langford. Her legacy of love and resilience continues through her surviving family members and the countless lives she touched along the way. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Darla Linch and Lorie Little for their unwavering love and assistance over the years, as well as to Kelly and Ashley with Four Pillars Hospice for their compassionate care and dedication during Lou Ann's final days. In honor of Lou Ann's life and her enduring spirit, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, an organization close to her heart. Lou Ann Langford will be remembered as a classy, vibrant woman whose love knew no bounds. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
