With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Lottie Mae Wiseman, a beloved member of our family and community, on June 5, 2026, at the age of 82. Lottie was born on February 26, 1944, in Franklin County, NC, to June and Vertie Alston, who have predeceased her along with her sisters Clementine Graham and Joan Gaston. Lottie’s journey of life was one marked by love, kindness, and an enduring commitment to her family and community. She was educated at A&T University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. Her professional life was dedicated to the U.S. Postal Service, from which she retired in 2006. Lottie was not one to rest idly in retirement; she became a passionate flea market enthusiast, known for her keen eye for quality clothing, which she shared with others at her stall at The Flea. In 1979, Lottie married Robert "Bobby" Wiseman, with whom she shared a life of love and partnership. Their union was blessed with a son, Frederick, who, together with his wife Damali, gave Lottie the joy of being a grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. Lottie is survived by her son Frederick (Damali), her sisters Ethel Mayrose Hayes and Queen Elizabeth Jackson, and her brothers Marvin Alston, Harry Alston, and Roger Leroy Alston. Her legacy also lives on in her grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends who will miss her dearly. A service to honor and celebrate Lottie’s life will be held on June 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Love and Faith Christian Ministry, located at 4344 Blackberry Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
