With heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Loria Chambers, a cherished soul who graced this world on February 3, 1934, in Top Alston District, Clarendon, Jamaica, WI. Loria departed this life peacefully on July 17, 2026, under the compassionate care of healthcare professionals, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Loria was the beloved daughter of the late Roland Lawrence and Iyonie Gentles, who predeceased her, as well as her devoted husband, Rudolph Chambers, with whom she shared a loving marriage that spanned over 60 remarkable years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. A woman of many talents and boundless energy, Loria's career was as varied as it was distinguished. She dedicated years working as a security professional for the coffee board, and was a veteran poultry farmer. Her creativity shone through in the dresses she made and the shop she owned, providing a hub of activity and warmth for her community. Loria's spiritual life was deeply rooted in her faith as a devoted mother and member of the Assemble of the First Born Church in Top Alston, Clarendon. Her commitment to her faith community was unwavering, and she was known for her enduring service and generosity. In her leisure, Loria found joy in cooking, baking, and sewing, arts she practiced with love and care. Her kitchen was a place of welcome and warmth, where her quick wit and warm smile made everyone feel at home. She was a firm and no-nonsense woman, always ready to offer guidance and correction, and her wisdom was a guiding light for many. Loria leaves behind Kevin and his family as well as Carmen, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Her close friends and good neighbors, who shared in the laughter and love of her life, will miss her deeply. A service to celebrate Loria's extraordinary life will be held on August 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Top Alston Assemble of the First Born Church, located in Top Alston District, Clarendon. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the friends, family, and care team who supported Loria with love and compassion throughout her journey. “A life well lived.
