Loretta Lynn Pugh, affectionately known as Lynn to all who cherished her, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at the age of 47, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on May 30, 1978, in the serene town of Weston, West Virginia, Lynn was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Lynn was the beloved daughter of the late Brenda and Darrell Gum, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to family. She is also predeceased by her brother, Mike Gum, with whom she shared a bond that was as strong as it was heartfelt. A proud graduate of Lewis County High School, Lynn carried her love for learning throughout her life. Although her professional journey led her to become a dedicated homemaker, it was a role she embraced with grace and dedication. She created a home filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of home-cooked meals, where her children, Christopher and Chrislyn Curtis, grew up surrounded by her nurturing spirit. Lynn’s legacy is carried forward by her beloved children, Christopher and Chrislyn, and her six adoring grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her heart was always open, and her home was a sanctuary where her family gathered to create cherished memories, bound by love and laughter. In her leisure time, Lynn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in spending time with her loved ones, weaving bonds that would last a lifetime. Her passion for playing Sims on the computer was a testament to her creativity and her love for crafting imaginary worlds where anything was possible. Lynn's life will be celebrated and her memory honored at a service on April 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home in Jane Lew. Friends and family are invited to gather to pay tribute to a woman who touched so many with her gentle spirit and unwavering love. As we say goodbye to Lynn, we hold close the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the warmth she brought into our lives. Her legacy is one of love, family, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lynn's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
