Born in the vibrant city of Lima, Peru, on August 7, 1938, Lorenza was a beacon of love and compassion throughout her 87 beautiful years. Lorenza was the beloved daughter of Hilario and Rosario Torres, who instilled in her the virtues of kindness and community. She was predeceased by her devoted parents and her dear spouse, Leslie Abrams. Lorenza and Leslie shared a profound love story, marrying on April 19, 1969, and together they journeyed through life for 52 wonderful years, nurturing a family filled with love and laughter. Lorenza is survived by her loving son, Christopher Abrams, and her cherished daughter, Gabriella Negron, along with her son-in-law, Manny Negron. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Devon Mirabal, Max Abrams, Kayla Negron, and Jayden Negron, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her brothers, Walter and Davico Torres, and sister, Betty Ventrice, also remain to celebrate her life and cherish her memory. Throughout her life, Lorenza dedicated herself tirelessly to her family and community. She was a remarkable caregiver, always putting others before herself and making everyone feel as though they were part of her family. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, earning her the affectionate title of "Guela" to all who knew her. Her warmth and hospitality were unmatched; she had an innate gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued. A devoted member of Queen of Peace Church for over 25 years, Lorenza found solace and strength in her faith, which guided her through life with grace and compassion. She was a pillar of her community, continually offering support and kindness to those in need. Lorenza loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and her generous spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we find solace in the beautiful legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of love, compassion, and unity. Her family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time, and they carry forward her memory with the words, "Forever in our hearts."
