With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lorene McCann, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on April 8, 2026, at the age of 53. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 24, 1972, Lorene graced this world with her gentle spirit and boundless love, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Lorene was the beloved daughter of the late Mable McCann Cathey and Paul Wilson. Her upbringing was steeped in love and warmth, values she carried forward throughout her life. Lorene was also preceded in death by her dear aunt, Betty McCann, whose memory she cherished. A beacon of light and laughter, Lorene dedicated her life to her family, nurturing them with unwavering devotion. She is survived by her loving children, Demario McCann, Michelle McCann, Antonio McCann, and Anton McCann, as well as her treasured nine grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her days. Her family was her pride, and she was their eternal source of strength and inspiration. Lorene's presence was a blessing, her love unconditional, and her gentle soul a comfort to all who knew her. She found joy in bringing happiness to others, and her kindness knew no bounds. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered and cherished by those she leaves behind. A service to celebrate Lorene's beautiful life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Church of God and Christ located at 806 E Brooks Rd, Memphis, Tennessee 38116. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. In this time of mourning, the family offers a heartfelt message: "We think about you always, we talk about you still. You have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again." Lorene McCann will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
