October 3, 1961 — April 14, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loralee Lynn Hopkins, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on April 14, 2026, at the age of 64. Loralee peacefully departed this life at her home in Swanzey, New Hampshire, surrounded by the love and warmth of her beloved family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 3, 1961, in Keene, New Hampshire, Loralee was the daughter of the late Emma Louise Menter and Lawrence Greenleaf Conboy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Mark Conboy, and leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Loralee is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Reginald Hopkins, with whom she shared a life filled with love and unwavering partnership. Together, they nurtured and raised a large, blended family, including her sons Curtis Hopkins and his wife Christina, James Ellis Jr. and his wife Christine, Charles Ellis, Jonathan Ellis and his wife Esha, and daughters Jackelyn Ellis and her fiance Corey, Cora and her husband David, and Danna Sayball and her husband David. Brothers Michael Conboy and wife Maureen, Lawrence (John John) Conboy, and Irving Clough. Her heart was further warmed by her 23 adoring grandchildren and 12 precious great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Loralee was a woman of integrity and authenticity, known for her ability to provide solace and speak truth, even when it was difficult to hear. Her compassion was matched by her strength, as she stood as a pillar of support for all who knew her. She exemplified the role of a homemaker, bringing grace and love into every corner of her home, where she cultivated not just a family, but a sanctuary of warmth and kindness. Her earlier years saw her working at DDBeans, and later, alongside her husband, Reginald, in their successful siding and roofing business. However, it was in her role as a nurturing homemaker that Loralee truly found her calling, dedicating her life to her family and the home they built together. Loralee was a lover of nature, finding peace and joy in bird watching and tending to her garden. Her garden was a reflection of her spirit—full of life, vibrancy, and care. She was a woman who gave her all, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. Loralee's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team in oncology and radiation medicine at Cheshire Medical in Keene, as well as the compassionate nurses from Home Health Hospice, Grace and Bobbie, for their exceptional care and support during her final days. A private ceremony will be held to honor Loralee's life and legacy, as her family gathers to celebrate the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cancer research foundation of your choice, in honor of Loralee's indomitable spirit and her unwavering fight. Loralee Lynn Hopkins leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a beacon of light in her community, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who carry her memory in their hearts.
