Born on August 9, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, Lonnie was the devoted son of Lonnie and Bertha Hawkins. Lonnie was a man whose life was a testament to both hard work and devotion. For 45 years, he dedicated himself to Mattel, Inc., where he was not only a valued employee but forged lifelong friendships. His commitment extended beyond his professional life, as he was an enthusiastic member of the Mattels Golf Association. Lonnie found joy on the greens, where he played golf at least once a week, embracing both the challenge and camaraderie of the sport. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fannie Hawkins, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage filled with love and companionship. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Lonnie is survived by his children, Craig Hawkins and Gayle Hawkins, who carry forward his legacy with grace and dignity. He was also the proud grandfather of two grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Lonnie's life will be celebrated on July 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Angeles Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.
