Lona left this world peacefully on March 31, 2026, at the age of 55, due to heart failure. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Lona was born on December 10, 1970, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a place she always held dear. She was the beloved daughter of Louis Rup, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life. Lona's life was a testament to the power of love and joy. She was known for her incredible ability to make others happy, a gift she shared freely and generously. Her warmth and compassion were felt by everyone she encountered, and she had an extraordinary talent for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Family was at the heart of Lona's world. She was predeceased by her eldest daughter Rachel, followed by her daughter Myranda and her son Daniel. Despite the unfathomable losses she endured, Lona's strength and love never wavered. She continued to be a source of comfort and support to her family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. Lona is survived by her devoted partner, Roger Myers, who stood by her side through life's many joys and challenges. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and warmth. In addition to Roger, Lona leaves behind four beautiful grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She adored every moment spent with them, nurturing and guiding them with the same love and care that she gave to her own children. Though Lona's journey has come to an end, her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and her commitment to family serve as a beacon of love and hope. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Lona's life, as per the wishes of her family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, continuing Lona's legacy of giving and compassion. In our hearts, Lona Gordon remains forever a guiding light, a reminder of the beauty of a life lived with love and grace. May her soul find peace and her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
