November 24, 1962 — May 1, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Lolita Porter, who departed from this world on May 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lolita was born on November 24, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she spent her formative years cultivating the warmth and vivacity that would define her life’s journey. Lolita dedicated her professional life to the care and well-being of others, working diligently as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to her patients earned her the admiration and respect of colleagues and patients alike. In every hospital corridor and patient room she entered, Lolita brought with her not only medical expertise but also a nurturing spirit and a reassuring presence that comforted those in her care. Beyond her professional achievements, Lolita was a woman of many passions. She found joy and solace in the power of music, often filling her home with melodies that echoed her vibrant spirit. She was known to dance with abandon, finding freedom and expression in movement. A lover of life’s simple pleasures, Lolita cherished good food shared in the company of friends and delighted in the stories told through cinema. Her laughter was infectious, her smile ever-present, and her heart capacious enough to embrace all those she considered dear. Lolita’s life was a tapestry woven with the threads of cherished relationships. She was a devoted sister to her brothers, Raymond and Antonio, who survive her. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to the enduring love and support they provided one another through life’s trials and triumphs. In her circle of close friends, Lolita was a beacon of loyalty and kindness, a confidante whose wisdom was sought and cherished. Her friendships were a testament to her generous spirit, as she cultivated connections that transcended time and distance. Though Lolita’s time with us was far too short, her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will forever illuminate the lives of those she touched. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the laughter she shared, the love she gave unconditionally, and the courage with which she faced each new day. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Lolita Porter’s life will be held on a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lolita’s memory to a cancer research organization of your choice, to continue the fight against the disease that took her from us too soon. Lolita’s light will continue to shine in our hearts, forever guiding us with her enduring legacy of love and compassion.
