December 28, 1947 — October 18, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Lois Pauline Hicks on October 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 28, 1947, in the beautiful state of Michigan, Pauline was the beloved daughter of Paul and Effie Walker. Pauline's life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and a deep faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband David Leon McMormick, her children David Leon McMormick, Susie Ann, and Kimberly Lee McMormick, as well as her twin infant sisters Ula and Bula Walker, and siblings Herbert Lee, Tipton, and Charles Walker, Arvilla England, and Deloris Glidwell. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them. Pauline is survived by her husband, Tommy Earl Hicks, and her sons, Ruben Cornell McCormick, of the home, and Justin Greg McCormick. She also leaves behind stepchildren Christy Lee and Jared Farly Hicks. Her cherished sisters, Doris Taylor and her husband Terry, and Donna Hutsell and her husband Benny, both of Cabool, Missouri, will continue to celebrate her life and legacy. Pauline's grandson, Chase Grogan of Willow Springs, Missouri, along with numerous nieces and nephews, were blessed by her love. Throughout her life, Pauline was a dedicated worker, having spent many years contributing to the shoe industry at Conway-Winter Shoe Co. in Willow Springs, MO, and Brown Shoe Co. in Cabool, MO. Pauline's passions extended beyond her work. She found joy in the great outdoors, spending countless hours boating, fishing, and camping. Her garden flourished under her care, and her flowers were a testament to her nurturing spirit. She shared many joyful moments with her sister Doris at Bingo, and her homemade donuts were a delight to family and friends alike. Holidays were a special time for Pauline, filled with laughter, warmth, and the company of loved ones. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Though health issues kept her from church, her spirit remained steadfast and her love for her Savior was ever-present. A service to honor and celebrate Pauline's life will be held on October 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs, MO. Pauline's legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will be forever cherished and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
