It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Lois Myers, affectionately known as Neesy, on June 28, 2026. Born on August 16, 1966, in Pittsylvania County, Lois was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Lois was born to Syndor Carter and Lillian Myers, and from a young age, she embodied the values of kindness and resilience. She was a devoted member of the Loyal Baptist Church, where her faith and compassion touched the lives of many. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lois was predeceased by her father, Syndor Carter, and her sister, Melinda Carter. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jessica Jackson,mother Lillan Myers, her sisters Charlotte Martin and Marry Carter, her brother Ralph Carter, Lois was a proud and doting grandmother to her three grandchildren: De'Ante, Je'Naysa, and D'Arion, who were the light of her life.
Throughout her life, Lois was a beacon of strength and love for her family and community. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support were a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A service to celebrate the life of Lois Myers will be held on July 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Loyal Baptist Church, located on Holbrook Street. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join us in honoring the life of a remarkable woman who was taken from us too soon.
Lois's life was a testament to the power of love and faith. Though she has left this world, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
