Lois Mae Morris

August 3, 1932 — March 31, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Lois Mae Morris. Lois peacefully departed this world in her sleep on March 31, 2026, at the venerable age of 93. Born on August 3, 1932, to William and Hazel Bellore, Lois was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Lois was preceded in death by her cherished parents, her devoted husband, Billy G. Morris, her beloved brother William Bellore, her dear sister Betty Denny, and her treasured children, Randall Louis, Lynda Louis Thompson, and Ellen Louis Defrank. Her legacy, however, continues to flourish through her surviving children: Cheryl (Karl) Szymanski, William (Nancy) Morris, Joanne (Jack) Eggenberger, and Elizabeth Morris. Lois's family tree extends further, as she was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her boundless love. Lois dedicated many years of her life to working at the Garden City Kmart and the Adrian Telegram, where her diligence and warmth left an indelible mark on both colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional life, Lois was a devoted Catholic and an active member of Al-Anon for many years, where she found solace and community. A fervent sports enthusiast, Lois's heart beat in rhythm with the Green Bay Packers, and she had an enduring affection for the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State's football and basketball teams. Her passion for sports was only rivaled by her passion for people; Lois had a remarkable ability to love unconditionally, making everyone she encountered feel valued and cherished. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lois's life on April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 415 Ormsby St., Adrian, MI 49221. It will be a time to honor a life filled with love, service, and joy. In remembering Lois Mae Morris, we celebrate a life that was rich in love and laughter, a life that touched the hearts of many, and a spirit that will remain with us forever. Her legacy of love and her unwavering kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding us all of the power of love and the importance of family. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
