Lois Helen Johnson Anglin

Lois Helen Johnson Anglin, a vibrant and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on April 29, 1946, to Rudolph and Elaine Johnson, Lois was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Though her mother, Elaine, passed away when Lois was very young in 1947, she carried her mother’s spirit and warmth throughout her life. She was also predeceased by her father, Rudolph, her brother, Robert, her beloved son, John, and her precious great-grandchild, Violet. Lois was the loving and devoted wife of her partner, whom she married on December 18, 1962. Their union was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her children, Anthony, April, Danielle, David, Dale, and Angel, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren: Kelly, Anise, Madyson, Emily, Harmony, Justice, Melody, Jordan, Jonathan, Lydia, Zuri, and seven great-grandchildren: Magnolia, Iris, Max, Scarlet, Torin and Loralei. Her sister, Carlotta Bennett, numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and an unlimited number of precious friends, whom she treated as family, also survive her. Lois was a remarkable woman who wore many hats throughout her life. She had a diverse career, working in computer programming, real estate, midwifery, and as an entrepreneur of several successful small businesses. Her work was always driven by a desire to help others and improve their lives. A devoted member of her faith, Lois was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 15, 1969. She dedicated her life to sharing the truth of God's Word, fearlessly witnessing to every person she met. Her compassion and kindness were boundless, as she made special efforts to uplift those who were sad or struggling. Lois had a zest for life and a passion for learning. Her interests spanned health and nutrition, international travel, teaching, reading, classic movies, music, dancing, babies, children, gardening, business, and education. Her adventurous spirit led her to live in New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, and travel across the globe, with only South America and Australia left unvisited. She cherished the opportunity to immerse herself in different cultures and continually sought to expand her horizons. Her personality was as vibrant as her life, characterized by her outgoing nature, courage, generosity, and motherly warmth. Lois's infectious laugh and compassionate spirit drew people to her, making her a beloved figure in her community. She was a natural leader, inventive and enterprising, with an innate ability to inspire and uplift those around her. A memorial service to celebrate Lois's extraordinary life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2339 W. Grandview Blvd, Erie, PA. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
